this policy explains what ScentDay (SCENTDAYCO LLC) collects when you shop on scentday.co, how we use it, and the choices you have.
what we collect
what you give us at checkout (name, email, shipping address), what you choose to share by joining our list or writing to us, your order history, and the choices you make on this site. payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. when you start a subscription we keep a record of the renewal terms you agreed to, with the time and a one-way code made from your IP address (never the address itself).
how we use it
to fulfil and support your orders and subscriptions, to send the emails you asked for, to keep the store secure, and to improve the site. the companies that help us do this (Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for hosting and email, ShipStation for shipping) handle your information only on our behalf.
cookies and similar tools
the site’s fonts are served from scentday.co itself, so loading a page doesn’t send your IP address to a font service. the site uses essential browser storage to keep your cart and checkout working. it's always on, and the site can't work without it. analytics tools (to understand how the site is used) and advertising tools (to measure our ads) load only if you say yes in the privacy choices banner. you can change your mind anytime from your privacy choices at the bottom of every page. today no analytics or advertising tools run on the site.
we don't sell your information
ScentDay doesn't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. if that ever changes, those tools will run only for people who opt in, and you can always opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
global privacy control
if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information on that browser. advertising tools stay off, and the privacy choices show "Opt-out preference signal honored".
your rights and how to use them
depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. use our privacy request form or write to support@scentday.co. to protect you, we confirm a request by email before we act on it (opt-outs don't need confirming). we answer within 45 days and tell you if we need more time. an authorized agent can ask on your behalf; we may ask you to confirm that directly. if you disagree with our answer, reply to it and we'll review it again. we won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
how long we keep it
order records are kept as long as tax law requires; if you ask us to delete your information, we remove your name, email and street address from them and keep only what tax records need. the record of renewal terms you agreed to is kept for at least 3 years, as California law requires. the rest is deleted when you ask, or when we no longer need it.
reviews
after an order ships we email one review request and one reminder. if you write a review, the product page shows your rating, your words, any photos you add and the name you choose; your email is never shown. photos are stripped of their location data before we store them. you can ask us to change or remove a review anytime.
google customer reviews
if you allow advertising tools in the privacy choices banner, the order confirmation page may offer Google's optional survey about your order. only if you agree there, Google receives your order number, email, country and estimated delivery date to send it. under Global Privacy Control or without that choice, the offer doesn't load.
marketing emails go only to people who joined our list, and every one has an unsubscribe link (your mail app’s own unsubscribe button works too). order and subscription emails are sent to everyone who orders, and so is the review request, which also has an unsubscribe link.
